Guram is 34 years old. He lives in a village of Khelvachauri District, West Georgia with his family: his wife – Natia and his parents. Guram and Natia are employees of a local company and they get a monthly salary. Along with their main job, they are actively involved in the family agricultural business. They have 0.4 hectares of land, where vegetables, fruit and various citrus trees are grown. Guram’s parents sell harvested fruit and vegetables on the local open market. Total average monthly income of the family is 700 Laris.
Guram requested credit for purchasing a milk cow. It will be placed in an old cattle-shed, located in the yard of Guram’s house. The family will start production of cheese and they will sell it on local open market as well. The income of the family will increase by 150 – 200 Laris per month. The increased income will allow them to purchase needed additional household goods, to improve their living conditions.
