Yon, 52, is widowed and resides with her two children in Siem Reap Province, Cambodia. She is a chef in a restaurant. She earns approximately USD 5 per day. One of her children is employed in a hotel and earns about USD 3 per day. In order to improve her family’s livelihood, Yon is requesting a loan of USD 1,000 to purchase a motorbike for her son to run a public transportation service (motor taxi). This purchase would enable her son to generate extra income to support her family. In the future, she would like to rebuild her present house to make it much stronger and to provide better living conditions for the family.
