Tuburcio
Tiburcio, 34, has been married to Eugenia for more than 12 years. They both have elementary level education. They have five dependent children of various ages attending primary and secondary schools. The family has lived for more than 14 years in the community of 2da Candelaria north of Colomi in the city of Cochabamba.

Tiburcio and his wife are potato, broad bean and papalisa [a tuber] farmers; they grow on five hectares of land he inherited from his parents.

Tiburcio is asking CIDRE IFD for a loan to buy 2.5 truckloads of ‘gallinaza’ [organic chicken manure] according to them to take advantage of the low seasonal price since their crops are not yet ready for sale. Besides, other financial institutions had many requirements to access credit.

Lastly, Tiburcio was very happy to have had this opportunity. Now they will be able to plant a larger surface area. Among his goals is to continue supporting his children’s schooling so that they will have a better future than him.
