André is 54 years old and lives in Benin. He halted his studies in primary school. André is married to a merchant named Thérèse. They have eight children. Five of the children are their own, and some of them are in school. André lives together with this children and wife, and he jointly ensures with her that the diverse household expenses are covered.
To meet his diverse needs and those of his family, André learned how to be sew and has been working in this trade for nearly 35 years in this region. Concurrent to this trade, he sells used motorbikes in his region. He gets his supplies from Nigeria. Thanks to the revenues generated by this business, André helps to cover the different household expenses.
To satisfy his burgeoning customer base, André is requesting a loan from ALIDé for a third time. The two loan he previously received were indeed paid back.

Pour satisfaire aux besoins de sa clientèle de plus en plus grandissante, André sollicite pour une troisième fois un crédit auprès de ALIDé. Les deux crédits reçus antérieurement par André ont été bien remboursés.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late. However, Alidé remains a healthy institution in good standing with its creditors, and Kiva would like to continue working to support its clients.
