Javier Enrique
Javier lives in the city of Ica, a city noted for having one of the country’s most important tourist attractions which is the “Laguna de Huacachina;” another one of its tourist attractions is the famous “Bruja de Cachiche” which is visited by an infinity of tourists all year round. Like all good Peruvians, he enjoys the country’s traditional dishes and one of his favorites is the very delicious “Arroz Chaufa.” [Chinese style fried rice] When he has free time he loves to watch television since it distracts him when he’s in a bad mood. He studied up to fifth year of secondary school but would have liked to study architecture.

Every day Javier goes out to work with much enthusiasm in his carpentry business. He makes doors and armoires, among others. He spends around nine hours daily at work. He believes that he does well in his business because he’s very responsible with delivering orders to customers and above all because he does quality, beautiful work so his customers always recommend him to others.

Javier is very grateful to Kiva lenders because with the help they are giving him he will be able to buy a circular saw because he currently has to lease this tool or ask to borrow one. With this improvement he’ll have his own work tool and will be able to do his work better thus improving income and continuing to strive toward reaching his great dream: “ To have my own carpentry shop.”
