Maria de 44 años vive en Puerto Colombia con sus 3 hijos en las edades de 14 a 24 años. Ella es comerciante desde hace 3 años, cuando inició vendiendo artículos variados como perfumes, juegos de sabanas, ropa y calzado, entre amigos y vecinos. Posteriormente empezó a vender electrodomésticos juegos de cuarto, etc. . En su negocio le ha ido bien, pues ha logado con su disciplina de trabajo capitalizar sus utilidades, pues cuenta con una fiel clientela que ha construido paulatinamente. Maria es una mujer muy espiritual que expresa su amor a Dios, en cada instante, ella se congrega en una iglesia cristiana y donde gradualmente se enmarca su mejor clientela, a la que ella oportunidades de obtener productos a crédito en plazos ajustados a las posibilidades de ellos. Su meta más adelante es abrir un almacén al público, para exhibir la mercancía que ofrece y ganar cada vez mas nuevos compradores y aumentar su capital de trabajo. En la actualidad Maria está aplicando a un credikiva, primer financiamiento que hace ala Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, mediante el cual comprará televisores, abanicos, juegos de sala y equipos de sonido para responder a los pedidos de su clientela y así hacer que esta inversión sea todo un éxito.
