Rima is 59 years old. She lives in a small village of South Georgia with her family, a 38-year-old son, a daughter-in-law and two grandchildren, 11 and 9 years old. The children go to the local school. Rima has health problems and she receives a relevant pension from the government.

Her son leads the agricultural business of the family. They have a family-owned plot of the land where they grow potatoes. Rima’s son and her daughter-in-law work on the plot. They sell harvested potatoes to local grocery wholesalers. The total average monthly income of the family is 550 GEL, including Rima’s pension.

Rima requested a loan for purchasing potatoes for sowing. The family will cultivate land and sow potatoes. They will work hard on the plot during spring season and hope that weather conditions will be favorable as well. In summer the family will get the harvest and sell it through existing distribution channels. They will use the income during the next year for financing the family's daily expenses.
