Svetlana
Svetlana is 40 years old, married and raising a son. She works as a nurse at an orphanage and, to provide additional income, has been involved in animal husbandry since 2007. Started with planting corn and an initial sum of 20,000 som (KGS), today this business allows Svetlana's family to have a stable income during the season. Her business also has one dairy cow, and the earnings from sales of milk allow Svetlana to cover the family's daily expenses. In order to further develop her business, Svetlana requested a loan in the amount of 50,000 som (KGS) from the "Bai-Tushum and Partners" company to buy corn seeds and fuel. She plans to invest the earnings from the loan partially into repairing her house and into expanding her business in the future.
