Toribia's story

Toribia is fifty years old and the proud mother of six children, all of whom are in their twenties. Toribia sells curtains, tablecloths, bedspreads, and the like in the Buenos Aires community of Santo Domingo. The entrepreneur operates her business predominantly within her house, but from time to time she also visits friends and other people in the close-by neighborhood to sell off her goods.

Toribia explains that being a well-established provider of these goods in the community is very challenging, but she expects that her new styles of curtains and bedspreads will help her increase her revenue as well as repay her loan. She wants to keep working hard for the sake of her family.
