Mrs. Chin Y., 50, is a widow and has four children. Her husband passed away many years ago, so she is the one who take care of and covers all of her family’s expenses. Starting in 2000, she opened a stand in front of a primary school selling biscuits, snacks and sugarcane juice. She is able to earn around $8 each day of income. In order to lessen her family’s financial cost, Mrs. Chin Y. is taking a loan from CREDIT MFI in the amount of $400 to purchase piglets to breed on her piece of land. She expects to earn income from this breeding in six to seven months.
