Artem is 31 years old. He lives in Akhaltsikhe District, South Georgia with his wife, Lussine. The family earns their living through an agricultural business. They run a small dairy farm with 2 milk cows. Lussine produces cheese and sells, on average, 40 kg of this product at the local open market. Along with the above mentioned activities, the family owns a plot of land. Artem grows potatoes, maize, wheat, garlic and onions. He sells his harvest at the same market. Artem and Lussine work hard in their farm, especially in the spring and fall seasons. Their average monthly income is 600 Laris.
Artem has requested credit for purchasing potatoes for sowing. He will purchase a better variety of potatoes for sowing and he will work hard on seasonal agricultural work. Artem hopes that the weather conditions will be favorable as well and the family will get a good harvest. The harvest will then be sold for a convenient price. The family will get more income and Artem and Lussine will be able to improve their living conditions.
