Dalale is a 59 year-old Lebanese widowed woman, living with her child. After her husband’s death, she took on the responsibility of raising her child.
She opened a clothing store and has been in business for the past 12 years. She always presents new collections to attract more clients to her shop.
Today, she is requesting a loan from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to expand her store’s inventory of new summer clothing. She’s certain the loan will help her diversify her merchandise selection. In the future, she also hopes to sell shoes.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
