Nawale is a 43 year-old Lebanese, married woman, with three school-aged children.
She has sold clothes from her home since 2008 and has gained a fair number of customers. As for her husband, he's worked for a local company many years.
Today, Nawale’s requesting a loan from kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase added clothes, such as dresses, pants and other items. She notes that this loan will certainly push her to get higher profits. In the future, she plans to open her own shop.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
