Victor, his spouse, and young daughters live in Vodyanoye. For already 10 years he has been growing vegetables in greenhouses. On his piece of ground there are 2 large greenhouses of 10x100 meters and 8x80 meters, one 4x9m greenhouse for seedlings, and a 8x10m forcing bed. Victor has been in the farming business for 10 years in a row. He has invested considerable funds in his farm--about 150,000 hryven. Every year he spends about 64,000 hryven on repairs and improvements of the greenhouses.

Victor is planning to invest the loan of 12,000 he receives through Kiva for the purchase of coal for heating the greenhouses. He already put a potbelly stove in one greenhouse and he would like to put one in the other. This system of heating requires coal. Victor hopes that the 2012 growing season will be successful and that he will have a good harvest. Victor is planning to expand his business and buy more land in order to build additional greenhouses and to buy a larger vehicle for his business and family.
