The Pro Natura community bank is made up of four women and three men. They work every day in different business activities and also in one they share in common which is selling natural products. They work in order to contribute financially to their households and provide for their families. The members live in different parts of the city of Cuenca. This city is considered to be the third most important city in the country from an economic point of view. In December 1999 it was named a World Heritage Site. It has a cold climate but its people are kind and friendly. They maintain their culture and traditions.

One of the members of this group is María Eugenia who lives in Misicata sector, in the city of Cuenca. She is 21 years old, married, and doesn't yet have any children. Her husband is a construction worker. They do not own their own home but live in rental accommodation.

María Eugenia studied in a sewing academy for three years and has been working in her profession for one year. She works in a factory that makes jeans, from Monday to Saturday, from 7.00am to 6.00pm. In her free time she sells Teans-brand natural products. She has been in this business for two years.

This is María Eugenia's first loan from her community bank which she was invited to join by her mother-in-law. She will invest her loan in buying natural products so that she can continue working in her business. Her goal is to own her own home.

El banco comunal Prod Natura está formado por 4 socias y 3 socios, laboran diariamente en diferentes actividades y también una en común que es la venta de productos naturales, realizan su trabajo para aportar a la economía de sus hogares y salir en adelante con sus familias. Viven por diferentes lugares de la ciudad de Cuenca, ciudad que es considerada como la tercera ciudad de mayor importancia económica del país, es desde Diciembre de 1999 Patrimonio Cultural de la Humanidad, su clima es frió, su gente es amable, gentil y mantienen la cultura y tradiciones de sus pueblos.

Una de las aocias de este grupo es la Señora. María Eugenia, vive por el sector de Misicata en la ciudad de Cuenca, tiene 21 años, es casada y aun no tiene hijos. Su esposo labora como albañil, no tiene casa propia por lo que vive arrendando.

La Señora. María Eugenia estudió 3 años en una academia de costura y se encuentra ejerciendo su profesión hace un año, labora en una fábrica que confección jeans, trabaja de lunes a sábados desde las 7 hasta las 6 de la tarde. En sus tiempos libres se dedica a la venta de productos naturales de la marca Teans, esta actividad la realiza desde hace 2 años.

Este es su primer crédito que realiza en el banco comunal al cual fue invitada por su suegra. Su crédito lo va a invertir en la compra de productos Naturales para continuar con esta actividad.

Su meta es tener casa propia.

Por esta ocasión nos acompaña en la foto un joven con camiseta negra que es hijo de una de las socias.
