Jose Luis
José is a very tenacious man with hope and sufficient strength to be able to get ahead and demonstrate to himself and to his family, composed of his wife and 6 month old baby, that they can accomplish great things. José is a man who rises very early every day to offer transportation services during the time when there are the most customers. This family currently lives in the city of Pisco, a place that suffered a terrible earthquake in which many residents, José among them, lost some of their belonging.

José started out leasing a mototaxi but gradually saved up and was able to buy the one he now owns which over time has started to wear down; it has problems with the frame and needs to be painted because it’s very worn out and what’s worse, it makes it look very old.

José works from 7 in the morning until 9 at night and only takes an hour off to go home to eat the food he needs. His wife is always watchful that he and their baby are well. All of them are in good health as a result and avoid the risk of having to spend large amounts of money which at the moment they don’t have.

He dreams with strengthening the frame and painting his mototaxi so that it will look much better and he can feel sure that it will last much longer. Because of this he’s counting on the help we can provide. He is very committed to his installment payments and grateful for the support he’s being given. José is sure that his income will be able to improve because he’ll be able to reach places that are farther away without fearing that his mototaxi’s motor will break down which will allow him to increase profits and be able to save up a bit more to reach his great dream: “To own three mototaxis to lease out and to finish building his house.”
