Naziha is a 52-year-old Lebanese divorced woman living with her son. After her divorce, she had to start her business working as curtain tailor to be able to have enough money to pay the high costs of living. Her shop is situated in her town; she is a friendly woman and has her loyal customers. Today, she is requesting a loan from Kiva partner, Ameen s.a.l, to purchase textiles in good quantities with low prices. In the future, she plans to hire a part-time employee to work on her behalf, as she is becoming older and needs to take a break.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
