Nerida is a member of the Señor de los Milagros Communal Bank. She is 62 years old and buys and sells groceries and food at street markets. Currently she is beginning to buy and sell cochineal (a red dye made from the cochineal insect).
Nerida is the mother of four and has been a member of Finca Perú for three years. She feels she has made great progress in her personal and family life. She is grateful to Finca for all the help it has given her. She remembers and appreciates that previously she was only on the farm and did not see everything she was capable of doing. Upon becoming a part of Finca, she broadened her perspective and now sees all that she has achieved. She is happy because of the things she was able to do, all of which is thanks to the support she received in the training workshops.
Now she will invest her loan in the purchase of cochineal.
