She began her business when she found out about the microcredit that was offered by the MFI, Hekima. Thus, she received her first loan of $50 to start up her business. Her husband is an evangelist pastor serving in a protestant community. The profits from her business go toward savings, food, and the education of her children.
Meanwhile, she has just received her third loan. Since receiving her first loan, her business has grown. So, she decided to increase the amount of her loan for this cycle. She will use this new loan to buy about ten female boubous. Also, she hopes to broaden her horizons and stock up in Kampala, as well as see her children grow up. The client would like to thank Hekima for helping to give autonomy to poor women who to not have access to classic banking.

Cependant, elle vient d’obtenir son 3eme crédit. Au cours de la période, cette cliente a vu ses affaires prospèrent positivement. Ainsi elle a décidé d’augmenter son montant de crédit pour ce cycle. Ce nouveau crédit doit lui servir de s’approvisionner avec une dizaine des boubous dames. En plus, elle souhaite voir ses enfants grandir et ouvrir ses horizons pour s’approvisionner à Kampala. In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
