Améfia is a 39-year old man. He is married to a retailer. Améfia has two children, who both go to school. One is 16, the other is 14.
Since 2000, Améfia has been raising agoutis (a type of rodent used in Togolese cooking). He works alone from his home, and obtains his supplies in Lomé.
Améfia has obtained his first loan from WAGES in order to buy a vehicle for his agouti business.
Over the next few years, Améfia would like to become a mushroom grower. He says that with the profits, he wants to improve his family's standard of living.
