Sony, 28, is married and resides with her husband and two children in Kampong Chnang Province, Cambodia. She has been selling groceries for over five years, earning approximately USD 10 per day. Her husband is involved in breeding pigs to sell. He earns approximately USD 5 per day. In order to improve her family’s livelihood, Sony is requesting for a loan of USD 800 to purchase more groceries to sell in order to generate more income to support the family. In the future, she would like to run an additional business renting music equipment and send her children to a good school. Moreover, she hopes to rebuild her present house to make it stronger to provide convenient living conditions for the family.
