Aloysius
Aloysius is 48 years old and lives in the town of Kyenjojo, in the Mubende region of Uganda. He is married and has three children, two of whom are currently in school. For the past three years, Aloysius has been working hard to manage his retail shop, where he sells sugar and soap.

To help expand his business, Aloysius has requested a loan of 2,500,000 UGX from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to add more stock to his general store. The loan will help Aloysius generate greater profits and have a bigger shop. Aloysius hopes that in the future he will be able to educate his children at the university level.

Aloysius is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP). The program primarily serves small entrepreneurs like Aloysius who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans but whose businesses have grown too large for micro-finance loans.
