Yehya is a 41-year-old Lebanese married man. He lives with his wife and four children. Two of them are still attending school while the others are working. After finding it hard to cover his children’s educational fees plus his family expenses, he decided to double his effort and take more projects, as he works on a free-lance-basis. He started his own business as a painter in 1992. Today, he wants a loan from Kiva partner, Ameen s.a.l, to a buy more paint in order to be able to start his new project or else he won’t be capable to carry on his work properly. In the future, he plans to open his own paint shop.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
