Asaad is a fifty-four-year-old Lebanese married man living with his wife and three school-aged children. He’s is the one taking care of the family and covering the heavy life expenses. Asaad started his own work in 1989. He has been working as a car mechanic in his own garage and has gained a fair number of customers asking for his services.
Today, he’s asking for a loan from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to buy new mechanical tools for his business in order to respond rapidly to his clients’ problems. He believes that acting properly is really essential to attract more and additional customers. In the future, he plans to enlarge his garage and hire people to work with him.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
