Elias is a fifty-three-year-old Lebanese married man. He lives with his wife and two children who one of whom still attends school and the other who works. He’s the one taking care of his family and doing his best in order to enrich their way of living and cover the heavy costs of life. Elias began his own work as a furniture painter in 1976 and has already many years of experience in this domain. He has gained different clients from different areas especially because of his good and well organized work.
Today, he’s seeking to borrow a loan from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase new painting tools and brushes for his business to be able to take more projects thus earn superior income. In the future, he plans to open his own furniture gallery.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
