This is the second time that Noudégodo Honorine and the other members of Ayidote have asked for fiancial support from ALIDé in order to increase their working capital and better meet customer demand. AYIDOTE est un groupe de trois personnes, dont les membres vendent dans la même zone. La représentante du groupe, Noudégodo Honorine (dont la main est levée sur la photo), est âgée de 43 ans et est mariée à un certain Eugène. Le couple a cinq enfants, tous scolarisés et à leur charge. Noudégodo Honorine n’a pas fréquenté l’école. Noudégodo Honorine vit ensemble avec ses enfants et son mari et assure ensemble avec son mari les différentes charges de la maison. Depuis près de huit ans, Noudégodo Honorine vend des divers et des pommes fruits dans une ville du Benin. Noudégodo Honorine s’approvisionne dans un marché du Benin. C’est la deuxième fois que Noudégodo Honorine et les autres membres du groupe AYIDOTE sollicitent l’appui financier de ALIDé en vue de renforcer leur fonds de roulement et leur activité et de mieux répondre aux exigences de leur clientèle. Le premier crédit reçu a été bien remboursé.

Alidé is a Beninese NGO that works to reduce poverty by offering sustainable access to productive loans like this one in addition to savings, training sessions, and social work to low-income families.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late. However, Alidé remains a healthy institution in good standing with its creditors, and Kiva would like to continue working to support its clients.
