Yrma Gloria
Yrma, 39, is the mother of a 12 year old little girl she lives with in the city of Pisco, a city noted for having one of the country’s most important tourist attractions: the Paracas Candelabrum and the Ballestas Islands. It also has as important activities fishing and agriculture. Like all good Peruvians, she enjoys our country’s cuisine very much and one of her favorite dishes is the very delicious “Cau Cau” [tripe stew]. She studied up to fifth year of secondary school but would have liked to study veterinary medicine.

With much dedication, Yrma works in her business selling clothes. She works about 10 hours daily and can care for up to 30 customers a day. She believes that she does well in her business because she’s well-known in her neighborhood and because she’s nice to customers.

Yrma is very grateful to Kiva lenders because thanks to the help they’ve given her she will be able to buy more merchandise for her business (clothes for the fall season) that will allow her to provide more variety of products to her customers and improve her income so that she can continue working toward her great dream: “To give her daughter a good education.”

Yrma tiene 39 años de edad, es madre de un pequeña de 12 años con el cual vive en la ciudad de Pisco, ciudad que se caracteriza por tener uno de los atractivos turísticos más importantes del país el cual es el “candelabro de Paracas y las Islas Ballestas”, asimismo tiene como una de las actividades principales la pesca y la agricultura. Como buen peruano le gusta mucho la comida de nuestro país, por ello uno de sus platos favoritos es el riquísimo “Cau Cau”; el estudio hasta el quinto grado de secundaria, pero le hubiera gustado estudiar “Medicina Veterinaria”.

Con mucha dedicación Yrma trabaja en su negocio de venta de ropa, trabaja alrededor de 10 horas diarias y puede atender hasta 30 clientes en el día, ella cree que le va bien en su negocio porque es conocida en su barrio y porque es amable con los clientes.

Yrma está muy agradecida con los prestatarios kiva ya que gracias a la ayuda que le han brindado ella podrá comprar más mercadería para su negocio (ropa de temporada de otoño), lo que le permitirá ofrecer mayor variedad de productos a sus clientes y mejorar sus ingresos; así podrá seguir trabajando para cumplir su gran sueño.” Darle una buena educación a su Hija”.
