Martha de 52 años de edad es una mujer casada que tiene un hijo en la edad de 28 años. Ella es comerciante, actividad a la que se dedica desde el año 1997, cuando empezó vendiendo juguetes, cremas, papelería, impulsada por su esposo quien le regaló una vitrina. En la medida en que crecía su clientela, fue agregando diversas mercancías y así mismo sus ventas se incrementaron. Hoy en su negocio cuenta con una clientela fiel, que la reconoce y le refiere nuevos compradores. Martha con sus utilidades también ha puesto una venta de helados, bolis y ha agregado a su oferta de mercancía calzado y productos de belleza y hasta ofrece el servicio de llamadas a celulares, e internacionales, contado con 4 equipos para hacerlo. En la actualidad está aplicando a un credikiva, primer financiamiento que hace a la Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, mediante el cual comprará en mayor volumen que el acostumbrado, calzado, productos de belleza, papelería y recipientes plásticos, artículos que rotan rápidamente y hacen que su inversión tenga éxito, porque adicionalmente gana descuentos por compras de contado y en mayor volumen.
