Chenda, forty, is married, and resides with her husband and three children in Takeo Province, Cambodia. She is a cloth weaver. Additionally, she is involved in growing mushrooms to sell. She earns approximately USD 6 per day. Her husband is a construction worker who earns about USD 6 per day.
In order to improve her business, Chenda is requesting a loan of USD 1,000 to purchase silk to weave more cloth to sell. In the future, she would like to run an additional business raising pigs to generate more income to support the family. Moreover, she plans to build a new concrete house and help her children get bachelor’s degrees.
