Channarin, 38, is widowed and resides with her parents and two children in Takeo Province, Cambodia. She has been involved in agriculture for over ten years. She has extensive experience and is successful in her career. She is involved in growing rice and fattening up cattle. Additionally, she carries fish and vegetables by bicycle to sell around the village. She earns approximately US $5 per day.
Due to the difficulty of her mode of transportation, Channarin is requesting a loan of US $1,500 to purchase a motorbike for delivering fish and vegetables. This purchase would enable her to carry the products she sells in larger amounts and to generate more income to support her family. In the future, she would like to expand her business, build a new house, and help her children get bachelor's degrees.
