Sadick is a married man. Sadick operates a goat business and sells his goods at the market. He's worked in this business for six years and was previously employed in farming. His primary customers buy for slaughter, keeping and upgrading. Sadick's other source of income includes farming. He describes his greatest business challenge to be animals dying or getting lost, and his highest monthly expense is entertainment. He owns a house that has neither electricity nor piped water.
Sadick will use the 50,000 Kenyan shilling loan to buy more goats. Sadick aspires to own a ranch in the future. He joined Yehu to access capital.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
