Lan, 48, is married, resides with her husband and three children in Takeo Province, Cambodia. She has been selling sugarcane juice and breeding pigs for over ten years, earning approximately USD 2 per day. Her husband runs the business of buying cattle to resale to generate more income to support the family. Approximately, he earns USD 5 per day. In order to develop her family’s economy, Lan is requesting a loan of USD 800 to raise capital for her husband’s business of purchasing more cattle for resale. By doing this, her husband would make more profit to support the family. In the future, she would like to expand her business and help her children get bachelor’s degree. Moreover, she plans to purchase timbers to cover her house’s walls as well.
