Zocima
Zocima, age 40, is a very hard-working woman. She lives in her own house with her four children, and they are the motivation for her efforts.

Zocima devotes herself to taking care of her cacao plants. She says that she started to work the land with the help of some day workers. Then, she cultivated cacao and coconut plants. She has been doing this work for over 12 years. Now she only looks towards the production of her plants because she and her children depend upon it.

It is very easy for her to fumigate and fertilize her crops. At times she is very fearful that she could be ingesting the poison into her body through her skin. Even so, she does not leave her plants.

With the requested loan she will be able to finish the façade of her house because it only needs the finishing. This is her sixth loan with MFP. She is happy to continue counting on the financial support. She is also grateful to her communal bank for working with supportive and responsible members. She will use the 2,000 soles to buy cement and other materials to finish her home.
