Amiran is 52 years old. He lives in the village of Vaziani in East Georgia with his family: his wife, Eter, and his 29-year-old son and 21-year-old daughter. Amiran works as an operator in a local company. Eter runs the dairy farm with its two milk cows, owned by the family, which is an important source of family income along with Amiran’s salary. Eter produces cheese and sells it at the local market. The total average monthly income of the family is 300 Laris.
Amiran has requested a loan to purchase five calves. He will keep them on the farm for 5-6 months and sell them in late summer at a higher price. The family will receive additional income and will be able to spend more on satisfying their daily needs, in order to improve their living conditions.
