Cristina Bernardo
Cristina was born in the Boane district, Maputo province in southern Mozambique. She is a single mother of 3 children who all attend school. She completed school through the 7th grade but dropped out due to her parents' financial situation. She owns the home where she lives with her family and she does not support anyone else.

She has been a business woman for over 22 years. She earns around 5.000.00mt per month, which she uses for household expenses and savings in her bank account (BIM).

She has never had a loan with other banks. She learned about Hluvuku through a friend who is also a client. This is her fourth loan with Hluvuku, in the amount of 20.000.00mt, which she will use to purchase construction materials for her home (sand, cement, beams, wires, doors, metal sheets, etc.)

The prior loans were for 10.000.00mt, 10.000.00mt, and 15.000.00mt, also for her house. She promises to make her payments as scheduled. In the future she plans to finish her home and furnish it, and she will request additional loans from Hluvuku for that purpose.
