Soumaïla
Mr. Soumaïla is 35 years old, married, and the father of four children. He lives with his family in the Sanoubougou II Extension, a neighborhood in Sikasso.

After trying several businesses without success, twelve years ago Mr. Soumaïla started his business of buying and selling various shop items. He has a shop in front of his family home where he sells a variety of items: cigarettes, candy, matches, chewing gum, powdered milk, tea, sugar, soap, etc. He is very much in demand due to the quality of his products. To satisfy his growing customer base, he decided to join the microfinance institution Soro Yiriwaso about a year ago. This is his second loan, which will allow him to buy 10 cartons of different cigarettes, 4 bags of sugar, 10 cartons of tea, 5 packages of candy, 5 packages of chewing gum, 10 packages of matches, and 5 cartons of soap. His previous loan was repaid correctly.

Mr. Soumaïla's products are purchased from wholesale supplies in the city before being resold in his shop to a diverse and varied customer base. With this loan, he expects to make a monthly profit of 110,000 FCFA, which will be used to contribute to family expenses, pay the interest on his loan, and invest in his business.

Monsieur Soumaïla après avoir mené plusieurs activités sans succès, s’est initié il y a douze ans à cette activité de commerce d’achat vente d’articles divers de boutique. Il dispose d’une boutique devant le domicile conjugal où il mène cette activité de vente de ses articles divers : Cigarette, bonbon, allumette, Chewing Gum, lait en poudre, thé, sucre, savon, etc. Il est beaucoup sollicité de sa clientèle pour la qualité de ses produits.
Pour satisfaire sa clientèle de plus en plus croissante, il décida de rejoindre l’institution de microfinance Soro Yiriwaso il y a environ une année. Ainsi il est à son deuxième crédit qui lui permettra d’acheter, 10 cartouches de Cigarettes différentes, 4 sacs du sucre, 10 carton du thé, 5 paquets de bonbon, 5 paquet de Chewing Gum, 10 paquets d’allumette et 5 cartons de savon. Le prêt précédent a été correctement remboursé.
Ses marchandises sont achetées auprès de commerçants grossistes de la ville avant de les revendre en détail dans sa boutique à une clientèle diverse et variée.
Il envisage réaliser avec ce prêt un bénéfice mensuel de 110 000 FCFA qui sera utilisé pour contribuer aux dépenses familiales, payer les intérêts de son prêt et investir le reste dans son activité.
