The “UNIFICADA 2” Communal Bank will start its first loan cycle in Pro Mujer as part of the Santiago II Regional Office. It is made up of six members and has a board headed by Sra. Martha. The businesses engaged in by bank members are varied and include selling food, selling woven goods and sweaters, a neighborhood store and selling woven blankets.

Sra Martha says that this is the first time she has joined a communal bank and that currently she has a business selling food. She has been working for years and learned the business from her mother. The loan in this cycle is for expansion of her merchandise (the purchase of soft drinks and groceries). She will buy these products from distributors and later market them in her retail space.. This type of work enables her to support her family since she is unmarried and has three children.

When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she replies that she enjoys the training workshops in the areas of health and credit.

La A.C. “UNIFICADA 2” iniciará el primer ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del Centro Focal de Santiago II. Está compuesta por seis integrantes y cuentan con una mesa directiva a la cabeza de la misma se encuentra la señora Martha. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos tenemos: venta de comida, venta de tejido y chompas, tienda de barrio, venta y tejido de mantas.

La señora Martha, indica que forma parte de una asociación comunal por primera vez y que en la actualidad ella cuenta con un negocio de venta de comida, que viene trabajando hace años, aprendiendo el mismo de su mamá. El crédito de este ciclo es para ampliación de su mercadería (compra de refrescos y abarrotes) estos productos los comprará de las personas distribuidoras y posteriormente lo comercializará en su espacio de venta. Esta forma de trabajo le permite apoyar a su familia pues ella no es casada y tiene tres hijos.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta las capacitaciones del área de salud y de crédito.
