María Guadalupe is 26 years old, married and has 3 children. When she was very young she learned crafts from her mother, who worked in this profession. She makes bracelets, belts, animal figures and personalities from the EZLN guerrilla group. When she has a certain amount done, she gives them to her mother, who sells them within and outside of the state of Chiapas. She belongs to the Bendecidas 2 Group along with Isabel, Juana and Lucia, who are also artisans. They are originally from the community of Chamula, but many years ago emigrated to the city of San Cristobal, where they now live.
