Liliana is studying Veterinary Scienceds at the university. She earns income independently because she travels to towns to vaccinate animals and this is how she pays for her schooling. She needs the loan to pay fees to register her Bachelor's Degree and to complete higher education courses to obtain more income and help her family. Liliana is single and has no children. She lives in her parents' house in the city of La Paz's Tembladerani zone. It's the first time she's worked with IMPRO and first with KIVA.
Liliana, estudia Veterinaria en la universidad, ella obtiene ingresos de forma independiente ya que viaja a los pueblos a vacunar a los animales y de esta forma pagar sus estudios.
El crédito lo requiere para tramitar su titulo de bachiller y culminar cursos superiores para obtener mas ingresos y ayudar a su familia.
Liliana, es soltera y no tiene hijos, vive en la casa de sus padres en la zona Tembladerani ubicada en la ciudad de La Paz.
Es la primera vez que trabaja junto a IMPRO y la primera vez con KIVA.
IMPRO is a small non-profit organization that has been offering micro credit to the working poor in the Bolivian cities of La Paz and El Alto since 1995. IMPRO’s goal is to fight poverty by offering loans to small business owners who cannot access credit through the regular banking system due to a lack of guarantees or collateral.
To ensure that everyone has access to credit, IMPRO maintains a low interest rate by minimizing operational costs. IMPRO’s partnership with Kiva, which began in 2007, has allowed IMPRO to expand its services while maintaining these low interest rates.
