Soeun is 29 years old and from Prey Chor district. She is a humble and diligent farmer. She has a common law relationship with her husband who works in the same type of business. This couple has been blessed with three children, all of whom are attending school and depending on their income. After the rice season, Soeun wants to use her free time to raise pigs at home. However, she doesn’t have enough capital to start this business. Consequently, she would like to ask for her first loan from HKL, a longstanding Kiva partner, to purchase pigs. Soeun plans to have a medium farm for fattening pigs.
