Soun is in her 50s. She is a single parent with six children: three are married and three are single and living with her in Prey Chor district of Kompong Cham province. Soun works in agriculture, cultivating rice in both seasons of the year. She is able to generate a suitable income to support her daily expenses.
The purpose of this loan is to pay back money to the owner of the farmland, from whom she bought her land in a previous year. Soun is very grateful for the loan, which helps to solve her financial difficulties. She is confident she will be able to pay back her loan to our kind lenders.
Hattha Kaksekar Limited is one of the largest and most successful microfinance institutions (MFIs) in Cambodia. The organization provides microfinance services to the poor, particularly women, in urban and rural areas.
