Ziad is a thirty-four-year-old Lebanese married man living with his wife and only one child. He has been working as a van driver for the past three years and still does. He doesn’t mind to work under pressure if this can build strong and better future for his family.
Today, he’s in need of borrowing a loan from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to perform the needed maintenance on his van and change its engine. In that way, he will be able to receive more clients and therefore increase his profits. In the future, he plans to buy another van and hire someone to work with him.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
