This group chose the name Perlas del Mar (Pearls of the Sea) because they are good, honest woman and consider themselves to be as beautiful as pearls.

The following description is about Señorita Moncerrat as she is the group representative. She is 19 years old, single, and has been selling shoes from a catalog for close to three months. Monce decided to start this line of work because she wanted to find a way to improve her standard of living and help her parents with household expenses. She will use the loan to buy catalogs, shoes, runners, sandals etc. so she can better stock her business.

Monce’s greatest wish is to begin saving money so she can build her own premises for a shoe store, generate more sales, and have more stock of a greater variety. She would then earn more money and be able to continue supporting her parents.

She is very grateful to the Fundación Realidad and Kiva for the assistance that this loan will provide. As a result her business will improve greatly, and her life and that of her family will change too.
