Maria Elena
María Elena, 48, is a single mother of four children who are 18, 15, 12 and 8 years old; only one of them attends school. She lives with her children in the village of El Edén in Peña Blanca, Cortes.

María Elena has been selling vanities (body cream, lotion, shampoo and assorted cosmetics) for 11 years. She established this business needing to earn her own income to support her children; being a single mother she's worked hard. She sells her merchandise in an ambulatory fashion in neighboring communities. She states that she's had good profits that have helped her continue reinvesting in her products. She spends nine hours daily selling her products.

She is very grateful to ODEF for the financial opportunity they've givben her. This is her second loan. She will use the 15,000 Lempiras to buy cosmetics to resell, to increase inventory and to generate more income. Her goal is to be able to obtain a stable locale where she can sell her merchandise and provide better customer service.

Doña Maria Elena tiene 48 años de edad, es madre soltera y tiene 4 hijos con edades de 18, 15, 12 y 8 años, de los cuales solo uno de ellos estudia y vive con sus hijos en la Aldea el Edén de Peña Blanca, Cortes.
Doña Maria hace 11 años se dedica al negocio de venta de vanidades como, (cremas para cuerpo, lociones, shampoo y variedad de cosméticos). Este negocio lo estableció con la necesidad de tener sus propios ingresos para poder mantener a sus hijos siendo madre soltera ha trabajado mucho. Su mercadería la vende de forma ambulante en las comunidades vecinas. Manifiesta que ha tenido muy buenas ganancias las cuales le han ayudado a seguir reinvirtiendo en sus productos. Ella dedica a vender sus productos 9 horas diarias.
Ella esta muy agradecida con ODEF por la oportunidad en financiamiento que le han dado, este es su segundo préstamo por 15,000 lempiras el cual lo invertirá en comprar cosméticos para la venta. Para incrementar su inventario y por consiguiente generar mas ingresos.
Su meta es poder obtener un local estable donde pueda vender su mercadería y dar un mejor servicio a los clientes.
