Created on December 30, 2008 at the inauguration of the local "banc villageois" to which it belongs, the Bamtaré group is composed of 10 women driven to expand their businesses. The group members live in the same village and primarily work as vendors. Mrs. Diénabou (standing on the far right) is the group’s leader. She is 43 years old. She is married and the mother of four. She sells peanut paste and vegetable in her neighborhood. She has been doing this work for a number of years. With this loan, she plans to buy peanut paste and vegetables for resale. The revenues from this business will allow her to help her husband support the family.

Madame Diénabou (debout à l’extrême droite) est responsable de groupe. Elle est âgée de 43 ans. Elle est mariée et mère de 04 enfants, elle est vendeuse de pâte d’arachide et de légumes dans sa localité activité qu’elle pratique depuis plusieurs années.
Avec ce nouveau crédit, elle compte acheter de la pâte d'arachide et des légumes pour la revente.

This is a Group Loan
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
