Maysaa is a 45-year-old Lebanese married woman living with her husband and four children. Three of her children are still attending school and the other one is working. Her husband is the main income provider in the family; he’s working outside the country at a local company. As for her, she opened her own lingerie shop in 2008. She has loyal customers and knows very well how to stay in good relations with them. She is asking to borrow a loan from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to diversify her merchandise selection of underwear, pajamas, bridal lingerie and many other items. In the future, she plans to enlarge her shop to include women's clothing.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
