Sihame is a 32-year-old Lebanese woman. She’s married, living with her husband and four school-aged children. She collaborates with her husband to meet the family demands. Her husband has been working with his own van since the year 2000. As for her, she has two years of experience in selling home products and has her own shop. Today, she’s in need of a loan from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase added products such as Tupperware plastics and many other items in order to diversify her sales and gain a new range of customers, which will surely increase her profits. In the future, she plans to work as a wholesaler.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
