Heba is a 35-year-old Lebanese woman who lives with her husband and two school-aged children. Her husband has been working as a fireman for the past 22 years in order to enhance their way of living.
As for Heba, she has had her own home business as a private teacher since 2003. At the same time, she has been working as a teacher in a local school.
Today, Heba’s looking to borrow a loan from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to change her teaching room’s decoration in addition to painting. She notes that this will improve her way of teaching and allow her to attract additional students. In the future, she plans to open her own learning center.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
