Khon, 57, is married and resides with her husband and two children in Kampong Chnang Province, Cambodia.
She has been growing lotus and vegetables to sell for over seven years, earning approximately USD $3 per day. Her husband is a construction foreman and earns about USD $7 per day. One of her children is a garment worker who earns about USD $3 per day.
Due to the difficulty with the family’s transportation, Khon is requesting a loan of USD 1,200 to purchase a motorbike for commuting. This purchase would enable her to use the money saved from her transportation expenses to support the family.
In the future, she would like to expand her business and help her children get Bachelor’s degrees. Moreover, she plans to build a new house to provide convenient living conditions for the family.
