Hai, 60, is married and resides with her husband and two children in Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia. She has been involved in agriculture for over twenty years, earning approximately US$2 per day. Her husband runs a business charging batteries and renting out sound equipment. He earns approximately US$5 per day. In order to improve her husband’s business, Hai is requesting a loan of US$500 to purchase a new battery-charging machine to replace his old one. In the future, Hai would like to expand her business and help her children get a bachelor degree. Moreover, she plans to rebuild her house to make it much stronger and to provide better living conditions for her family.
